Online – Workshop

Connecting expertise across borders, the PeriNEXT International Virtual Workshop was successfully held online on 21 November 2025, bringing together around 40 participants from Portugal, Belgium and Türkiye. The event created a dynamic platform for cross-country exchange, enabling professionals from diverse fields to collaborate on shared peri-urban challenges and solutions.

The workshop combined national insights with a strong European perspective, as participants explored common patterns in peri-urban development and worked towards a shared understanding of climate-neutral and resilient transitions. Through engaging presentations and discussions, participants compared findings from national workshops and identified key opportunities for innovation and cooperation.

A highlight of the event was the exchange of best practices from partner countries, showcasing practical and transferable solutions in areas such as sustainable mobility, circular economy, and community-centred planning. These examples inspired participants and encouraged the development of locally adaptable strategies.

The workshop strengthened international collaboration, supported knowledge-sharing among VET professionals, and generated valuable insights that will contribute to the development of the PeriNEXT Climate Neutral Awareness Kit and upcoming project activities.
