Portugal – Workshop

Designed as a two-day collaborative learning experience, the PeriNEXT “Discover Today” Brainstorm Workshop in Valongo, Portugal took place on 16-17 June 2025, successfully bringing together a diverse group of experts, VET professionals, and community stakeholders.

The workshop stood out for its well-structured agenda and strong organization, combining expert-led sessions, thematic group work, and interactive discussions. Participants actively engaged in topics such as climate-neutrality, peri-urban planning, green growth, and social policies, contributing to a rich exchange of knowledge and perspectives.

With over 50 participants and a multidisciplinary team of facilitators, the event created a dynamic environment for collaboration and co-creation. Activities such as SWOT analysis, idea mapping, and strategy co-design sessions enabled participants to develop practical solutions and innovative approaches tailored to peri-urban challenges.

The workshop also demonstrated strong follow-up and impact, supported by effective dissemination, networking opportunities, and participant feedback collection. Overall, the Valongo workshop made a valuable contribution to the PeriNEXT project by strengthening vocational skills, encouraging stakeholder collaboration, and generating actionable insights for sustainable and climate-neutral transitions.
